This fire place it great to watch. But the door latch is metal so when your are burning that gets hot so if you want to put more wood in you have to find a way to open the latch without burning your hand. (My idea was to hit is with a stick)
The fire place rusts very easily. We left it out in it's first rain storm and then next day it was rusted. Not at all appealing. So you are going to have to put a cover on it or it will rust very easily and quickly.
Also the sides bend. The sides that look like screen will start to bend and will bend if someone or something hits it. It is like chicken fence but a little bit stronger. So be carfeul or it will bend in or out and not look good.

Love my fireplace.... The fire actually comes out of the top but I like to watch it and find it very pretty. Also like the pull-out drawer that holds the ashes. When I first saw it I underestimated how pretty it is. I found it on another site that showed it with a fire burning and for more money. That is when I decided to purchase it and am happy I did.
